At the end of August I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer for Band of Builders to transform the garden of Jamie Thompson, a builder from Malvern diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease who is now confined to a wheelchair.
As such he was unable to access much of his garden and enjoy some outside time with his young children. We created a semicircular seating area around a firepit, paths, patios, flower beds, raised deck and wheelchair access. This was all completed in one week by 35 volunteers. I was proud to be a part of this.
